VISION + VALUES

WE’RE BUILDING A COMMUNITY THAT EMBODIES THE LOVE OF JESUS FOR THE GOOD OF OUR NEIGHBOR AND RENEWAL OF OUR WORLD.

OUR VALUES

FOR OUR NEIGHBORS

Embracing and caring for the people around us is at the heart of the lifestyle Jesus calls us to live. Loving others is the most powerful evidence of God's presence in our lives, showing the world his reality.

PUT INTO PRACTICE

Throughout church history Jesus’ call to “follow me” was slowly replaced with “believe in me”. But faith is not just belief in something. Faith is actually putting into practice what we’ve come to believe. Jesus’ words are a call to action, to obey his words, follow his plans, and to put his love and heart into practice.

OUTWARD FACING

Religious insiders were shocked that people who were nothing like Jesus liked Jesus, and he liked them back. He not only surrounded himself by those outside of faith, he lived and died for them. So we work hard to defy the natural gravitational pull toward insiders and what makes us comfortable. Jesus calls us to live outward and to care about those who aren’t here yet.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the story of the world began when GOD CREATED a space where heaven and earth overlapped—a place of beauty, connection, and purpose. But in our hunger for control, we fractured that connection, turning creation into something it was never meant to be. The WORLD IS BROKEN. Yet, from the very beginning, God began his rescue plan, to restore what was lost.

That mission reached its turning point in JESUS’ LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION. It opened the door for the renewal of everything—starting with us. It’s astonishing but true – THE CHURCH is now God’s dwelling place and movement of love on earth. We believe Jesus wants us to participate in his kingdom coming on earth as in heaven.

To learn more about our beliefs read Genesis 1-3, Exodus 3, John 1, Luke 5 &15, Philippians 2, and Romans 8.

OUR LARGER CHURCH FAMILY

We’re so grateful to not be in this alone. Dulles Church is a partner, along with about 100 other churches in North America, in the ICN Network headquartered at North Point Community Church in Atlanta. Together our network of churches are deeply committed to being outward facing, to healthy leadership, spiritual growth within community, and being for our communities.
